This family company was formed by Group Chairman Ian Dickinson at the end of 1997. Having retired to the Channel Islands at the culmination of a very successful career in business and engineering Ian nurtured a desire to "give something back" to the town in which he was born and raised and, inspired by his own semi-rural upbringing in a leafy suburb setting, he set out to transform a piece of family land in his home town of Winsford, Cheshire.
Together with a group of friends he formed a company to create his dream village, emulating his own upbringing and with the intention of returning to bygone values and a strong community spirit. Lyndale had been the name of the family home, and so this was chosen both for the company name and for the name of the new village.
The first house was sold in December 1998. More followed in 1999 and 2000 and by mid-2004 the village was finished. The end result is a development of 115 homes that any builder or property developer would be proud of.
Having had no formal training in the property development business this was a brave venture, which, due to the synergistic energy, expertise and enthusiasm of the Lyndale team that was
by then taking shape, was not only successful and profitable but also kindled a desire in Ian to keep the team together and build upon it.
The result is what you see today, Lyndale Homes, a group of like-minded professionals who share the same values, aspirations and ethical code in life and business, a true niche developer who is going far simply by dealing honestly, openly and candidly with all who look to buy a Lyndale home.
